Veneers can transform the entire look of your smile. With a minimum of two visits at our office, you will walk away on your last visit feeling like a brand new person. We ask you bring in photos of smiles you admire (including pictures of your teenage/early adulthood years) and your veneers will be designed accordingly. A mock-up can be made using tooth coloured material (composite resin) or it can be lab fabricated, of your teeth to preview what the final result will look like; giving you full control of how you would like your smile to look like. This will allow you and your North York Cosmetic Dentist to make any changes or adjustments to the Veneers.
Dental Veneers can be made from Porcelain or from Composite Resin material. Porcelain Veneers better mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth as where Resin Veneers can easily stain & do not look as natural as Porcelain Veneers. Please consult with your North York Cosmetic Dentist to determine the best choice of Veneer material for you.
In order to prepare the Veneers, some of your natural tooth will be shaved off to properly shape and fit the Veneer(s). After your initial visit, you will leave with temporary Veneer(s) returning 1 week later to have the permanent Veneers bonded onto your teeth; prior to permanently bonding the Veneers, your North York Cosmetic Dentist will temporarily place the Veneers on your teeth so you may approve its fit, shape and colour.
Teeth Whitening should be considered prior to beginning treatment as Veneers do not whiten. Please ask your North York Cosmetic Dentist if you are eligible for teeth whitening.
Since Veneers are considered a "Cosmetic" dental procedure, most insurance companies will not cover Veneers. Insurance companies cover what is medically necessary. Our team will still gladly send a predetermination(estimate)to determine coverage.
